E3 2006
It's that time of year again. Time for a downtown exodus to see the sights and sounds of the gaming industry's finest...and Kentia hall too.

Going, Going, Gone!...Bye bye Carlsbad!
Well, anyone who actually visits my site somewhat regularly (namely, friends) might wonder about the lack of recent posts. Well, that's because I'm now back! I'm back in L.A. baby... Over the past three weeks, I've been preparing for an extremely hasty and frantic 3-day transition to L.A. for my new position as a software engineer for the almighty empire, Electronic Arts. I stopped for a turkey break somewhere in the middle too.

E3 2005
I just got back from a couple of days at E3. E3 is always guaranteed to be a fun visual spectacle. Huge booths with pulsating video and loud music (I'm glad I decided to keep my Etymotic plugs on my keychain after Coachella). The funniest bit of irony is always the convergence of scantily clad women that probably hate nerds and nerds who could never normally be around any of those women. I'm one of those nerds, so I have authority to say that.

Sammy, SEGA Unite! ...no sign of Voltron
Well, it's public/official. Sammy Corp has "merged with" (acquired) SEGA. It's kind of a funny coincidence for me. As a kid, I remember thinking "how cool would it be to work for SEGA?!" and now I kinda do.

Sammy Studios @ E3 2004
Sammy made a pretty big splash at E3 this year. Darkwatch had its big debut along with a lot of our third party titles. Our booth was pretty awesome. Lots of E3 photos, check them out.

Hello Sammy Studios, game on!
After a long drought with no calls, I got three calls in less than a couple of weeks time. The top two contenders were Digital Domain (James Cameron's FX studio) and Sammy Studios (a new video game developer/publisher startup by "Sammy Corp" of Japan).

Another summer, another trip to R&H
Another summer of fun (but no "love" despite the plethora of cute artist chicks) at Rhythm and Hues. However, nude women and work did overlap this summer. I also got my hands into quite a few projects.... More...Posted at 11:50 PM
